Thanks Will. I decided to do more or less the same. I've had a R2400 for while and am familiar with QTR but the appeal of all carbon pigment ink, the small drop size of the 1400 and combining BO with Eb6 for the best of both is just too tempting. Am now just waiting for the 1400 price to come down a bit. Best I can find now is ~$200. Thanks again for your help.
