Re: [Digital BW] Resetting Auto Reset Chips

Tom..

Unless the cart is TOTALLY EMPTY, you will NOT have to re-prime.Also, I would follow the MIS advice of re-seating the carts which will happen automatically of course if you remove ALL the carts and top them up.( I fill them just to the top of the "visible circle shape" you can see through the translucent plastic on the side of the cart..If you don't take them out to do your re-fill, it's very easy for you to mistakenly OVER-FILL them..I follow this procedure with BOTH of my 1400's, and haven't had any issues..

Stop worrying..Just do it ..You may have to do a cleaning cycle or two to get a perfect nozzle check, but then you'll be "GOOD-TO-GO!"

I have the Eb6 inkset with auto reset chips in my 1400. When the ink level gets down under 10% and I need to reset the chip do I just turn the printer off and then on or do I have to remove and re-seat the cart? MIS says to re-seat the cart but I thought I read here that turning off and on works too. If I re-seat won't I have to prime the cart again?

  Thanks,
