It's objectively good, good gamut, good dmax, etc.. We knew from many little
birdies when it first came out that it was rebranded Innova FibaPrint Ultra
Smooth Gloss, made for Epson on a slightly thicker base. Since many of us
had actually done a lot of testing on that paper previoulsy, the
introduction of the Epson version did not creata much new additional buzz or
user reviews. So you might search the various lists for comments on the
Innova.
Obviously it is a PK paper, and will require an ink set up that works well
on gloss, however that is done- UCK3pk, HP, perhaps the Claria inks, etc..
for 3rd party mono inks others here would have to comment.
When I made cheap sample sets on a Selenium MPS K7 set for people to see,
one of the two papers was the Innova version, and I thought it worked well,
the high OBA level tamed back the rosy ink hue a bit, and the surface was
nice.
I made color profiles of both the Epson, and the Innova, and they really
were identical in technical performance and appearance, within instrument
margin of error.
Subjectively, for me, other than the nice combo with the Selenium MPS set,
it was generally too blue, with an obvious high OBA content, for my taste.
In every other way though, it performs extremely well, and has a likable
photo surface.
Hope that helps,
Tyler
