Sorry for a naive question: Many of you seem to be using Epson's hot press paper on the 1400. How come it's not officially a supported paper for that printer? Any problem? (Thickness?) Thanks for some enlightenment, Louis

Well, the folks that print on it are probably not using the Claria inks; they are probably going with Eboni/Cone/etc. carbon formulations; that's why it isn't on the Epson "supported" list. A single sheet of Hot Press feeds fine by itself in my 1400, a single sheet of Moab Entrada 300 needs me to rest my hand on it before it will feed. I've been using Hot Press on my 2400 without any problems. Some time ago I was getting what thought were head strikes so I put a couple books (total 2" high or so) on the paper output tray so the paper doesn't droop down as it comes out.
