Rub-off problem

Rub-off problem

2010-12-11 by benoit.lantoine

Hello,

I make my BO prints using MIS Eboni MK on Canson Rag Photographique and I'm very happy with the results except a rub-off problem.
When I'm sure my prints are dried, I store them in a box. And after a few days of manipulations, some black marks appears on the back of my prints because they rub each other.

Do you think it's a normal issue ? Using a spray could solve the problem ?

Thank you

Benoit

I don't think you should be having this issue. It would seem something is going on either with the ink or the material that your not getting the job done right. You could use a separator sheet and or try spraying .. but to me that's a band aid an not solving the issue I think..

I also had the idea of a separative sheet. Any other experiences ? Am I the only one who has this problem with Eboni and Mat paper ?

thank you all.

I had the rub off issue a few months back. I found that after removing the Ebony cart, shaking to get the Ebony remixed...the problem went away. Apparently Eboni has a settling issue.
