MIS Customer Srevice

MIS Customer Srevice

2002-02-28 by JULIANTHOMAS

Hmmm. My IP is causing problems and I´m speed writing/reading at
various cafes and bars, and some posts I´ve had off list make me
realise that i might have given the wrong impression of my thoughts re
MIS. So just to clarify...
I use MIS FS and love it. Cheap, high quality inks. Loads of options
with other inksets and they have broken the stranglehold formerly held
by another manufacturer. I should be opening a printing bureau soon and
I´ll be using MIS inks with a large format printer - so in no way am I
dissing their product.
I´ve had one communication glitch when they didn´t tell me they were
despatching via a different method than I requested, which due to
timing has caused me problems. There is also an email answering
problem, but I guess the phone is the answer.
I´ve just heard from MIS that my packet was returned to them. They had
the zip code in the wrong place for spain, but that shouldn´t have been
too much of a problem. So, I blame spanish post.
So in future, I´ll use FedEx, pay the customs duties, and always order
pints (156USD for clogfree printing - which when you consider I was
paying 480 USD for 4oz sets to spain menas I really shouldn´t complain
about the occasional glitch).

Ah, the espresso, that explains everything.

For unbreakables I always use US International Airmail, so far it has
never taken more than 7 working days from the US to Denmark. I have
had nothing but problems with Courier Services. They claim a 3 day
delivery, at a price, but if no one is home to receive the package
then it is return to the depot. Then they send a letter to arranged
delivery. All this can take up to 10 working days! On one occasion
their letter got lost in the post, they assumed I did not want the
goods because I did not contact them and they returned the goods to
the US. It took 4 months to sort that one out!
So, my advice is to have everything sent to an address where you know
someone is always there.

US International Air Mail is delivered by the normal post system, if
you are out then the post office holds the package for 10 days before
returning it and, of course , the post man leaves a form in your post
box about it. At least that is what happens in DK.

Regards,

Jerry.
