My 2400 Died - Some Ink Carts Available

My 2400 Died - Some Ink Carts Available

2011-10-27 by ClaytonJ

Hello All,

After 6 years of nearly flawless service my trusty R2400 died yesterday. I suppose I shouldn't feel bad. I got a bit over 6 years of excellent service from it (since August 2005). It still feels like I lost a good friend. It was even considerate enough of my finances to die just before Epson's $200 rebate for the R3000 expires. I have a new R3000 on order so I'll be getting acquainted with a new friend soon.

I have 5 ink carts for the 2400 that need to find a new home, all with 2012 expiration dates

   Y, M, LM, LC, LLK

I will let these go for a low price, please contact me by private email if interested.

Regards,
Clayton

New Epson Printers?

2011-10-28 by nospam

Last week in the Philippines I saw Epson printers in a store that said on
the box individual refillable ink tanks and showed a picture of ink bottles.
Suggesting that these printers do not use cartridges. Might this be a new
stage in the evolution of Epson printers?

So far only for the S.E. Asian market, Indonesia for example. They have
been reported here several months ago.

Sounds intriguing, but I'll bet its because Indonesia has some law that
prevents Epson from keeping their systems closed.

I guess the use of CIS systems there is so widespread that Epson decided
to join instead of fighting it. There the law/patent system may not work
as "nice" for as it does in the US or EU.

My apologies for posting about something that had been posted before. It was
new to me and very exciting when I saw it. I hadn't thought about patent
issues or even cultural differences. What went through my mind was wondering
if Espon were testing the concept and hoping it might spread to other
markets.

Thinking on it now I see it was reckless of me to hope for such things.

Scott,

No apologies necessary.

Now the question is who will volunteer to go to Indonesia and bring back a
good supply of these printers for us????
