Scanning new b/w Polaroid film

I recently discovered the Impossible Project's dedication to restoring the use of Polaroid films in the late model cameras. I've purchased a few boxes of their SX-70 b/w film and would like to scan these images so as to be able to use Photoshop to manipulate and print. Does anyone have some information as to best accomplish this? I have a few different flatbed scanners - epson 4990 and artisan 725 and an older epson printer/scanner. I'm guessing that the 4990 is my best bet. But am a novice with this one as I use it mainly to scan X-rays for my dental practice. Would love some guidance.
