Is there a "Infrared" Photoshop plug in that creates an infrared film effect. Is it any good? --Mitch/Paris

Mitch try www.fredmiranda.com. He has some photoshop Actions, and one is an IR look. He charges a small fee, but it looks pretty good. ken http://www.kensmithart.com --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@y..., Mitch Alland <malland@m...> wrote: > Is there a "Infrared" Photoshop plug in that creates an infrared film effect. You can also use a simple PS technique to simulate IR, and make your own actions. It goes something like this: 1)Add a channel mixer layer mask to your RGB image, set to monochrome, set green channel to 200%, red to -30% and blue to -70% (play around with the red and blue settings a bit, keeping in mind you want a total of around 100%) 2)In the channels pallette, highlight the green channel and apply a guassian blur filter. Then you can go to "edit" and fade the blur and apply "screen" or "soft light" or whatever makes you happy. 3) Voila! IR from RGB Got this from Adobe PS 6.0 for Photographers by Martin Evening, solid reading material. Good luck. The only one I know of is Nik Color Effects... Quite expensive, but most people think it's pretty good (never used the Infrared one). http://www.nikmultimedia.com/usa/maincontent/index_usa.shtml There is a free demo version for download.
