Bernd,
I know that there are "directions" for adjusting the placement of an image
with the Piezo driver at the Piezo site, but it isn't the same as being able
to place and image exactly where you want it on a page with a line or two of
Text below. For example, I recently saw a PR portfolio box with a number of
sheets each with an image on the top 2/3rds of the page and about 1-1/2
inches from the bottom there was a line under which there was small text that
contained contact information. These were color images using Quark and
printed on a Epson 1280. They looked excellent....a very professional
presentation.

Currently I need to prepare a small light weight presentation to be sent to
Europe. I would like to do something similar. However the only way I have
been able to figure out how to do it with Piezo prints is to make a page with
the text and then tip the trimmed piezo image onto the page. Am I missing
something? Or is there a way to do this?

Why not just use the Text feature in Photoshop to add text under your
photo. I do it all the time and it works fine with Piezography.

Another way is to increase the canvas size of the print, positioning the
print at the top of the 'mosaic' in the dialogue box, and then to use the
type tool in the bottom third of the new canvas size.

Julian & Tina,
I understand that I can do this with one image and text, but what if one
wants to do a layout with two images on a page
Top 1/2: Image to left, text right
Bottom 1/2: image right, text left
More margin on left than right for binding?

Ok...
Open a 2 windows with the image in at the size that you want them to be.
Increase the canvas size to the size of paper you want to print in one image
with the mosaic tile selected to top left. Use the outline tool to select
the place where you want the other image to be. Cut n paste that image into
the enlarged document. Select where the text should be, use tre type tool.
Flatten the image. I'm no expert so there may be a neater way, but this is
how I do my photo cards.

Billie -

You can set up any size canvas you want (File > New) and move the photos
and text anywhere on the canvas. Just be sure the canvas and your photos
are the same resolution. On the photos Select > ALL and use the move tool
to move the photo onto the canvas (Show Grid helps to locate it). Use the
Text tool to add type wherever you want it. It's really easy to do. Keep
everything in Layers until you get it just how you want it and then flatten
the image.

Posting Protocols was Re: Using Epson Driver and Cone Inks

See what I mean, I go and ask everyone to be more careful about
updating subject lines in threads that are drifting in topic. Then
what do I do? I forget to change the subject line.

I truly feel sorry for anyone trying to do a search on Using Epson
Driver and Cone Ink.

Apologies and promises to try harder,
