I got it I got it!

Hey people, well, yesterday I finally recieved the last of my digital
dark room equipment, the ink for my epson 1280. The CIS was not available
so I also got some prefilled carts of the VM inks to use until I get the
CIS. I guess I am ready to start printing.
However, first I just wanted to ask on the list and see if there is
anything others have learned that I should try to do first, or avoid. I
figured I would just install the MIS VM carts, run two cleaning cycles like
they say. Then maybe print a step wedge. Can any one point me in a good
direction to educate myself more on these step wedges? Oh, and do I have to
apply Pauls curves to these step wedges before printing them too? I am
printing on EAM by the way.
I am so excited to start printing! But I wanted to first ask to see if
there was anything other have learned that might help me avoid big mistakes.
Thanks and take care.
