Paul - Yes, I could do that, but my bottles are still quite full, and I occasionally use the Piezography driver. I only want a little cooling, and never a warmer look. Which of the inks needs the blue added to it, or do they all? Thanks --- John.

Paul, I remember you mentioning that the FS-N inks were designed to fade on shade...meaning that they did not cool or warm as the density decreased. Any chance that this could be done for the FS inks? Specifically, they would still be warm relative to the FS-N inks when you print them...but they would fade on shade? I was with a bunch of photographers today showing them the FS-N inks. I had Piezo ink prints with me as well. Everyone liked the tone of the Piezo inks (FS tone) better...but were concerned that they wouldn't like them as much if they warmed even more. Robert

John, Try cooling off your MIS-FS Standard inks by adding in some MIS-FS Neutral inks which are bluish. This way you will not have to worry about changing the density of the inks. I did 80/20 and 50/50 FSN/FSS blends. The 80/20 was still on the cool side of neutral and the 50/50 was just on the warm side of neutral. You might want to try a 25/75 blend but I suggest you load this into cartridges for trial runs before you commit to a whole CIS full. Wedges of these blends I tried are in the Files section of the group homepage in folder: Files > Ink Sets, reviews and techniques > MIS FS Martin Wesley http://www.borderless-photos.de/guests.html

Thanks, Martin. What's your subjective impression of these blends? The gray wedges are most helpful...thanks for that...can you compare to traditional photographic processes...paper? It would be interesting to see fades on these blends. I'm assuming that a 50/50 FS/FS-N blend would warm half as much as the FS alone...but it would be nice to see this in Paul's fade test. Robert
