Printing Color and B&W Together
2002-04-26 by djwolfe5
I have done this a couple of times using two printers. I have an Epson 1200 and a 750. The 1200 has MIS Quadtone and the 750 has the standard (Epson) Color inks. In Photoshop the picture had two layers one color and the other B&W. I played around with the blending options till I got something that looked good on the screen and then turned off one layer and printed, then swapped layers and printed on the other printer. It worked out nice the alignment seemed to be right on. The two layers were of completely different subjects so it did not matter if there was some minor misalignment. This is something I plan to continue to play with. Although in the last couple of weeks my 1200 has been giving me fits with the automatic feed mechanism not wanting to feed properly. Don Wolfe
