Digital BW, The Print

I've been using the MIS VM inks for a few months now on my epson 1270 .. 

.. i print a few pages every week ... sometimes the printer goes a whole week without being used...

.. the first few weeks i had the inks i had clogs (speciaally in the K location) everytime -- sometimes severe clogs... once i lost a whole color..  this is basically the norm.. 

..the last few months though i've experienced only very slight clogs, and sometimes no clogs at all in between uses...  and in ALL cases, one cleaning cycle took care of the problem...  so i think i've hit onto something, and now want to share that...

..  i always turn my printer off inmediately after i'm done using it --  the printer probably doesnt sit idle for longer than 30 minutes..  (in the ON position).. i've noticed that the printer does some work with the head when you turn it off , and hwne you turn it on .. i think that the printer may be setting up the head to prevent clogs, (by not exposing it to air, etc) .. 

.. anyways .. by always turning the printer off while its not in use, i've been able to reduce the ammount and severity of clogs ..  (its a significant improvement!)  -- BTW i'm using MIS VM inks in prefilled carts .. no CIS on this printer yet
