Digital BW, The Print

Even if the image sucks?
My favorite print to stare at just for the sake of enjoying the finish of the 
paper is a dye sub paper made by Sony. I use it in my  Sony 77 or whatever, 
and when the print is held at a particular angle it seems like liquid. It is 
a really cool surface. The luminosity kicks the .... out of any silver print 
I've ever seen. Including an original Adams.
You've got to see it in sepia. It's even better.
But if the image is what's important to me, then, IMO, the paper and 
technique shopuld complement the image, not overwhelm it. The image is what 
it's all about.
