All, Just printed Paul's 21stepNew.jpg file and I'm missing the 0% to 20% scale. It just prints white. I am using an Epson 1280 with the ARC T007 and ARC T009 FSN Carts, printing on Epson Achival Matte paper. I am using the Cone driver. Is there a fix for this? Normal? I appreciate any advise and suggestions. Barry Gilliand

Hello all, Can someone tell me if there is a significant difference between "Paul Roark's New & Improved 21-step Wedge" jpg file and the one found at MIS on this page (towards the bottom): http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/quadtone.html Last week I downloaded and printed the MIS one with my 1160 and I'm happy to say got a beautiful, smooth print of the wedge. A post today mentioned Paul's however and I'm wondering if I should try that too and will it help or tell me anything different? (Sorry for the newbie question) BTW, I'm using an 1160, MIS FS inks and Peizo driver, sometimes Epson Driver with Randall workflow. Also I have an MIS CFS arriving next week with FS-N inks. Thanks. Best regards, Richard mailto:richard@...

Richard, I think the one in the Files section has the top and bottom 5% in 1% increments. That can be where the trouble is with some curves. Paul _______________

Richard, A great 21-step wedge file can be found in the Files section of the group homepage in folder: Files > Image processing The URL (if it doesn't line wrap) is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint/files/Image%20pro cessing/ This was done by Paul. You will also find another very useful file for evaluating your workflow and that is the "Tyler's Zee's" file which is in the same folder at the bottom. Glenn, I replaced the Tylers_Zees.sit file with a TIFF file. A file with the extension .sit is a StuffIt file. StuffIt has been to the Mac world what WinZip has been to the Windows world. However, StuffIt works in both and is a free, handy utility to have on your computer. You can get it at: http://www.stuffit.com/downloads.html Martin Wesley http://www.borderless-photos.de/guests.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "Glenn Thureson" <glennthureson@...> To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Sunday, July 14, 2002 1:36 AM Subject: Re: [Digital BW] Paul's New & Improved 21-step Wedge > Will someone please post a zipped version of Tyler Zee's test file for us > benighted PC users? > > Glenn Thureson > > > You will also find another very useful file for > > evaluating your workflow and that is the "Tyler's Zee's" file which is in > > the same folder at the bottom. > > > > Martin Wesley > > > > > Please visit the Group Homepage to check the Files, Bookmarks, Polls and other resources as they are often being updated.
