Digital BW, The Print

Hello,

has anybody heard if there will be a successor for the now no longer state
of the art Epson 3000 printer? I actually print with an 1160 and MIS FS
neutral ink, but often I\ufffdd like to go one step larger. While I know (by user
reports) that with the 3000 nice results are possible, I\ufffdd find that a micro
dropled based new A2 model would be a nice thing. On the wall A3 is not that
large, even when its matted. A2 just looks more impressive...

Are there simply not enough potential customers who would be interested in
such a printer, or are there other possible reasons?

The gap between the excellent A3 printers and the large format machines is
jsut too big. I am a non pro (and non- fanatic) and will not spend thousands
of dollars for a 7600.
