Hi Martin, How do you think this paper would be for duotones? I ordered Eclipse Satine 308? but would like a paper that is somewhat textured but not as much as Torchon. I used Torchon for an image of a log cabin in the snow and the texture really emphasized the snow which was great(it's the one on my website). It's great paper but not for all images. Thank you. Best regards, Tim www.portraitsofnature.net

Tim, The HPR is very, very close to the Torchon in base brightness but more neutral in color. More gray than cream. It is much smoother. Smoother than the Eclipse Satine. Not quite as smooth as EAM or LPM. The HPR would probably be very nice for warm toned duotones. You cabin image would work well on this. Use the Eclipse Satine for neutral to cool tones. The Eclipse is probably the better all around paper but probably has much more OBA and may not be as stable. Are you still working with the Epson inks? I had a hard time printing a color photo on the Satine on my wife's 1270. Hi Martin, I'm waiting for MIS to get their archival color carts in then I will be using those. As soon as I can determine how they look with my kind of work I will be using the nomorecarts system. Sorry about the multiple posts, but my nephew had my computer all screwed up but I think I have that sorted out. Once again my apologies and thanks to Mark for bringing this to my attention.
