presentation/storage boxes for 11x17 & 13x19

2002-10-09 by frankg_photo

most presentation/portfolio/storage boxes i've come across are made
for traditional photo paper sizes (8x10, 11x14, 16x20 etc) - has
anyone sourced good boxes at good prices for printer sizes (8.5x11,
11x17, 13x19 etc.) ?
thanks
Frank

Frank,

You could make your image size 1/4 inch smaller.

no, it'd have to be bigger than the paper size
- the mat opening is the paper size

Depending on your printer, you would use the next largest paper size. So,
you would use 13x19 paper and print your image 1/4 inch (or whatever) smaller
than an 11x17 window opening. It's the same issue for photographic paper.

Holinger Corp does boxes for Museums, custom and standard. Same
thickness as Light Impressions and I think a tiny bit cheaper even for
custom. Check that out. and you get to choose the style, which side
drops down if any, etc. Your limited by Light Impressions. Also you
have four materials to choose from, with two colors.

For boxes to hold 81/2 x 11 I think Light Impressions sells a better
box (I think it's their "film box").
