Ed,

Some people have managed to get bent tines back in place with tweezers and a
gentle touch. There is a picture of some repaired tines in folder:

Files > Printers and ink carts

On the group's homepage.

Also do an archive search for posts from Tiger Shark who was doing some
research on this. I believe he had found a supplier for the connector
sockets.

This was adressed some time ago. There is a parent company that 
makes/sells the connector, but I didn't note it down although I used 
to specify connectors for HP. However I think the sibling company is 
"Elco". I DO have the exact part number so you can search for it on 
this list or do a geaneral web search. I have the company page 
bookmarked among about my thousand bookmarks<g> so it would be hard 
for me to find but I could try if you have no luck. The exact part # 
is "ELCD 9501". That's assuming the 1280 is the same as 1270 in this 
regard.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
