Nope I wiped one out with inks that were incorrectly recommended by a
sales person... (Inks that WILL work in a BJ800 and since the S9000 uses
the same cartridge, she incorrectly assumed... Well, you get the
picture. ) This was when I first got the unit last March..

Perfect Vendor to choose, the owner LOVES his S9000 himself... I can
tell you he has a BIGTIME cost promo debuting TODAY on new S9000s...

He also has a CIS/CFS coming.. In fact, it will likely be sold with an
attached printhead once they are available as spares..

Total plug and play.. Want to change inks? Simply plug in the new head
and CIS... Sweet!

I'll add Lyson Small Gamuts (for B&W) and Lysonics to the mix when that
happens..

Weird...

I'm happy with my Fotonics and I get them pre-filled.. No problems..

Huh. I just searched the site and find no mention of Canon S9000
printers for sale. Or did you just mean the replacement inksets?

It's weirder than weird. Sometimes when I change a cartridge it isn't that
cartridge that fails to fire on all cylinders, but another one. I've even
gone to filling the carts without removing them from the printhead - lift
the lid, and when the printhead moves to the middle, unplug the printer (it
won't leave the printhead in the middle forever, even with the lid up - at
some point it will return it to the parked position, and I don't want that
to happen when I have a needle stuck in an open cartridge fill hole.) Even
then I nearly always have to do one or two cleaning cycles to get a
complete nozzle check.

The inks are cheap enough that I'm willing to put up with this nuisance,
but if the stock market ever comes back to its peak levels I'll probably go
back to the Canon cartridges.

Cheers,
Kip
