cone driver & Mis original quad inks

Is it possible to use the cone driver and use MIS orginal quadtone inks? Anybody tried that? What were the results. I have an epson 1200 that I have a cis system for and don't really want to spend the $$ for the cone inks if I don't have to. Thanks Greg
