  Yes!

The 1280-mac curves print _terribly_ under PS7 on a mac.

I have much much better luck with the 1290 curves or the Tyler Boley curves or QuadtoneRIP (all free)

Charles,

I get excellent prints using a 1280 on a mac with VM inks and Paul
Roark's curves using Photoshop 7.

My settings are Adobe RGB space, Heavyweight Matte paper media setting,
check "Color Controls", then automatic in the epson dialogue box, and
"Same as Source" in the final print dialogue box.

Cool, I'm glad someone is getting good results. I apologize for my generalization.

My results with those curves are very similar to the previous poster - great highlights and shadows, completely flat midtones.

One of the settings I read in Paul Roark's settings was to use sRGB
settings instead of Adobe RGB 1998. I'm a newbie at this hextone
printing so correct me if I'm wrong on this setting. I got it from
the MIS workflow page.

Your friend in Photography,

Johnny Eades

Yup, Heavyweight matte. I believe photo paper prints very similarly
though. You should try all the settings to see which one you like best.
