I used to live in Florida, but now I live in New Mexico -- a friend sent the Speed Graphic on from an estate dissolution. I've traded the heat and humidity for heat and dust. :-)

Mark you, the film holders are 3x4, not 2x3.

At this point I should say that I have never developed my own film, ever, in my whole life, and had in fact gone wholly over to digital. But there are people in the area who repair/collect old cameras and who would do my developing for me if the camera does indeed work. I do want to learn how to use this old lady. But Kip's enthusiastic instructions on film trimming have consternated me a little bit!

Well, there wasn't even a manual with the kit, so I'm waiting for one to come from Alibris. After that, perhaps your collective advice won't go flying out my other ear.

Don't know where you are in FL, but if around Orlando stop by Orlando
Camera Exchange on Fairbanks in Winter Park. I know Gregg there has
some 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 film holders and even two Speed Graphics in stock.
They only sell used cameras and equipment but have a very high end
(Hassy, Leica, Nikon, Canon) inventory. I've gotten to where I almost
never pay for new equipment. Too many deals on used out there.

sitting in a case, in a shed, in deepest Florida, for upwards of 10
years. And yet, the gubbins, filthy though they are, seem to be working.

Maybe it will be much more convenient to take a Polaroid holder
that can use the instant 665 B&W positive/negative film 3.25x4.25
size or the 4x5 holder for a similar film. No darkroom, no
filmsize issue. Enough of them available secondhand. I'm using
the 665 on a converted Polaroid 110A. Slow and not much latitude
but very little grain.
