Thanks for the tips. I was thinking of using refilled OEM carts that do have
the poppet valves in them. I would have to cut the tops off and use the dry
sponge method of refilling. The difficultiy I see with this is that the tops
are hard to cut off without damaging the vent system. I might have to
machine new tops to make this work easily.

I didn't know if the 1280 was fussy about carts being changed before they
are empty. I am assuming that the chip maintains the ink level count and
when you put a cart back in it just picks up where it left off.

I'm up to 4 Espon printers now and running out of space. It would be great
to consolidate functionality a bit and not have so many printers.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
