ACDsee

ACDsee

2003-07-23 by Ken Carney

After scanning many CD's into ACDsee (almost all b&w, so sort of OT),
key-word inexing them and so forth, I realized I hadn't included the
database in the backup routine. But, I couldn't figure out how. The
response from ACDsee tech support was that there was no way of backing up
the files, but that it was being considered for some future release. I may
have run across a program before that didn't allow backup of data, but one
doesn't come to mind now. I can trash the program and start over while I've
only go 40 or so CD's input, but does anyone have a solution for this?
Thanks!

Very powerful. Unique category style data base. Very easy to back
up. Excellent support.

Nope. I considered using ACDSee for the same thing more than a year
ago. But before I did so I emailed and asked them how I back up the
database. Got the same answer as you did.....over a year ago!

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
