Doug,

I did a search on Google for ferrotype and came up with:

http://www.alternativephotography.com/process_tintype.html

They give instructions on how to do it yourself. You will need a positive (slide), but there are a number of ways to get those. Maybe someone at that
site can tell you where it can be done (or is willing to do it for you).

Have fun!

John

There are a handful of people still doing the original ferrotypes. Contact Will Dunniway at http://www.collodion-artist.com . He has an exhibition on at the moment and may not answer immediately, but he knows pretty much everyone who still does wet-plate collodion photography these days, so if he himself can't help, he may know someone who can.

While Will Dunniway is a master at many of those wonderful old techniques, he does
have quite a few of his fine art wet plate collodion images printed as limited edition
giclees via Epson 9600. If anyone is in Southern California and would like to see his
stuff, he will be showing at Bella Gallery in Lake Elsinore opening Sept 27th.

(pardon the plug - but I am honored to be the one doing the printing.)

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
