Classic is OS9. Load it there. Then print from within classic.

Mark, I tried that this morning and it didn't work. I called Apple and they said
that OS9 is not in the G5 anymore. Classic in the G5 is only a simulator now,
not really OS9. OS X is stil running underneath it. That seems to be the
problem. Anything after 2003 doesnot have the old OS9 system in it.

I bought the OSX version of the plug-in from BWGuys.

http://www.bwguys.com/software.aspx#imageexportbw

It works basically exactly like the original PiezographyBW plug-in but is
compatible with OSX.

Kind of expensive for what you get. But it beats running Photoshop in
Classic.

Re: [Digital BW] New Mac G5&Piezo plugin

2003-10-29 by James Haney

Vinny,

I don't have their mailing address, but the web address is www.bwguys.com.

Since you are interested, my experience has been good with the new software.
I have had no issues with it.

I switched to their product and produced prints identical to the Piezography
version.

All of the papers I use are in the list: H. PhotoRag, H. German Etching
(Orwell) & EEM, as well as a ton of others.

The only glitch is every other time I use it I get a printer connection
error. It goes like this.

Launch Photoshop, open image select ImageExportBW from the Export menu,
choose settings, press Print, "Printer connection error", click Cancel,
select ImageExportBW again, press Print again and it begins printing.

Annoying, but no big deal.

It didn't do this when I first installed it but after updating to OS 10.2.8
it started to do this.

Other than that, it works just like the old software without the annoyance
of running Photoshop in Classic.

I am currently using PiezoTone Selenium inkset with Portfolio Black in carts
with an Epson 1160.

Let me know if you need anything else.
