Can you switch a CIS from an 1160 to 1280?

I've never installed a CIS on any of my printers, but isn't an 1160 a
4-color printer while a 1280 uses 6 colors? Certainly you would need
different "cartridges" for the two setups, plus extra ink bottles and feed
lines. I'd have to wonder if it would be any cheaper than just buying a
new setup for the 1280.

Cheers,
Kip

Basically no parts from an 1160 CIS would work on a 1280.

Yes,
on both prior comments...thank you....will get a new cis. My
stupidity blinded me from the fact that this is a 6-color printer.
(Just found the 1280 on the Epson site for $329 w/free
shipping...seems like a fair deal compared w/ebay.)

One other difference in the two systems, is that the 1280 requires
chipped carts, where as the 1160 did not!
