Truman,
Is the newer version of PW a good tool for making BW injet prints. I have version 2.0 of PW and am considering to upgrade to 3.5 Standard or 3.5 Pro.
What do you see as a greater benefit over Photshop.

Sean

ps it's been a long time since I worked with PW. I usually use Photoshop.

I find it much more intutive to use than PS. If you want to graphic
arts, PS is the way to go but if you are more interested in preparing a
photograph for printing PW seems to be a better tool. The new version
supports the use of the PS curves so you can use Pauls or anyone elses
curves developed for PS.

Quite frankly then only thing I find myself using PS for is the
"healing brush." It's a good cloning tool removing dust, scratches, etc.

I'm intrigued. I have never used PS7, am on PS6 with CS on order,
and so have not used the healing brush but I use PW3's speck remover
to, what I suspect, is the same effect. As for cloning, I never know
what PS is going to pick up and PW3's tool is, for me, far superior.
Of course this may because I don't fully understand the options in PS.

I just use PW for those tasks where I think it serves me better,
which I guess will be less often when CS arrives.
