OT: Quality Paper Cutter...

OT: Quality Paper Cutter...

2004-01-13 by jsinger986

I often create sheets of many small images (6 5x5's on a 11x17 sheet) but I need a
good idiot proof paper cutter so I can get good even cuts. I've been using a ruler and
xacto knife but I can't say that the results have been great. All the local places don't
have a good selection of paper cutters and I'm not sure what to look for.

Should I get a guillotine type or another type (the kind with the blade that you move
back and forth... not sure what they are called though)

Any recommendations on quality brands and things to look for would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

Peel off the label and tighten the screws. Replace label.

Helene
I just bought a 15" Rotatrim from B&H and am having problems with
some of my photos "slipping" under the stopping metal ruler (what you
push the paper up against, to square it up). It slips under at the
end closest to the cutting edge, right by the "0" on the cutting
board. Is this happening with anyone else? It's really annoying as
after cutting, I realize part of the photo slipped under and turned
the photo, making my cut crooked! Plus this thing wasn't cheap..

Beautiful!! That worked perfectly! Thank you so much. I didn't even
know those screws were there.. I was about to march down to B&H and
raise some hell.

Thanks again,
