Refilling MIS UT2 Carts

Refilling MIS UT2 Carts

2004-03-05 by Jerry in Houston

Now after trying both MIS UT1 and UT2 carts in my 1280 I have decided, for now, to concentrate on the UT2 inks thus allowing the use of both matte and glossy papers. Now, is it possible, or desireable, to refill an original MIS UT2 cart? I also have an almost empty UT1 cart, can I reuse and convert it to UT2 by refilling or flushing? What about the Eboni cart? Any advice appreciated.

Yes. You can start refilling the UT2 cart with the bulk inks. You'll
need syringes, bottom fill adaptors, rivets, chip resetter, etc from
MIS. Just give them a call and they'll tell you (and sell you) what you
need. You can't put UT-2 inks into a cartridge that previously had UT-1
inks in it.... well, I mean, you could, obviously, but I wouldn't.
