Peter,

Not for me. I use a liquid mounting technique developed by Mac Holbert (Nash Editions) where the neg/tran is set directly on the glass of a flatbed scanner. I imagine that celluloid is about as flat as it can be!

where can I get a description of that method. Also, my impression is that
the "sweet spot" is somewhere above the glass flat bed.
