Digital BW, The Print

Has anyone managed to get an MIS CFS up and running in OS-X with the Epson driver?  
The original chip on the K cart sent by MIS was for PK ink and prevented me from printing 
to matt media with the Epson driver.  However if I selected an RC paper then I could print 
fine.  They then delivered what is supposed to be an MK chip which I have placed on the K 
cart.  But I still can't print to matt media (Archival Matt Paper paper setting) and both matt 
and glossy media types appear for selection - ie the driver doesn't seem to know what ink 
type is installed.  In fact, now I can't print to any media type except Plain Paper.  When I 
spoke to MIS last time they professed to not being very Mac knowledgeable.  The usual 
fixes don't seem to work:  I have run Print Setup Repair; I have replaced the CFS with Epson 
carts and got it working fine and then added a new set of printers with the CFS installed (a 
la the trick for switching between PK and MK Epson carts).  I am wondering if I have 
received a bum chip or something.  Unfortunately OS-X gives no info as to why Jobs 
Stopped.

OK ignore this.  Another frustrated powering off of both printer and computer and now it 
seems to be fine.  Weird.  Hopefully I won't jinx it now... :-)
