Success at last!  My first linearized profile for EHM is excellent
w/may be a slight bump around 95%.  However, my dMax (100% - 0%
patches) is 1.58 for inks I'm using.  I thought I would compare my
step densities to those in the the ideal_density.pdf file.  However,
the least dense in that file is 1.6.  What's the formula for computing
those densities?

Hi Dave,

The numbers are based on evenly spacing the Luminance  (Lab values).
The easiest way to just look at the table is to notice the difference
between 1.62 and 1.60 and use the same from 1.60 to 1.58.
You don't need to worry about 3 significant digits -- most densitometers
only do 2 decimal places.
