Uncoated Rag papers
2004-07-06 by Richard Smallfield
Hello, I just bought some Arches Aquarelle Hot Press and a couple of other rag papers of varying textures to see what results I can get with them. (I have a 1200.) A friend did some amazing BO prints on Watman. Very little fine detail, but a lovely painterly effect. I wondered if anyone could tell me what would be the best way to approach printing on such papers - I take it the dot gain would have to be adjusted, for instance, due to the increased spread of ink per dot. Any thoughts would be appreciated, Richard -- http://smallfield.vze.com http://photos.smallfield.vze.com "When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before." --Mae West (1892-1980)
