7600 QTR Gimp roll paper solution?

7600 QTR Gimp roll paper solution?

2004-07-16 by Eric Pritchard

I am getting absolutely beautiful results using Roy's great QTR, but so
far only on sheet paper with existing page sizes...

Has anyone figured out a way to get roll paper working on the 7600
using Panther 10.3.4 and Gimp 4.2.5? When the printer is loaded with
roll paper, set to either roll-auto-cut or roll-no-cut, and saying
"ready" I send a job to the printer, and the whole job spools and says
"printing" but the printer just sits idle and "ready" and never does
anything. I am choosing the roll option in the Gimp driver. Everything
seems in order, but nothing happens. In sheet mode everything is fine.
I have also tried all the other combinations: roll paper set at the
printer but sheet set in the driver and the other way around as well...
all with no success. I'd send a really nice bottle of wine to anyone
who can help me fix this problem!

Hi Eric,

It sounds like you're doing most things correctly.

In the Quad7600 driver under 'Paper Feed' click the radio button for
'All pages from' and select 'Roll' in the pulldown menu. On your
printer, use either roll-autocut or roll-nocut.

Does that win the wine? haha
