Piezography Museum Bright White Paper

Piezography Museum Bright White Paper

2004-07-21 by stridulent

I recently started printing b&w prints digitally on my Epson 2000
printer. I like the piezography paper, but Inkjet Mall is having
problems from their distributor of the paper. Does anyone have
any 13X19 paper they are willing to sell? I am making prints for a
show and need consistent prints. I am considering purchasing
Hahnemuhle paper, but I am having trouble loading 8.5X11
through the top loader and since I am running OSX on a Mac the
back loader doesn't work unless I buy anupdated version of the
operating system. Does anyone use the Epson 2000 printer with
Hahnemuhle paper?

If you are using Hahnemuhle Roll paper you can flatten it with an iron or dry mounting
press, this can help with the feed.

However, unfortuately, I had this issue with my students and the 2200. You are going to
have to pay for Panther and download the new driver on the Epson site. Once you start
feeding into the back of the printer you will wonder why you waited so long. Also, there
are all kinds of strange issues with the orignial driver for the 2200, especially when it
comes to printing to the end of the sheet or near the end of the sheet.

The Ultra-Smooth paper should be thin enought to feed from the top.

After 3 years of dealing with issues like this my opion is that Epson is just plain sloppy
when it comes to drivers. This is documented by thousands of us out here. A billion dollar
company can do a LOT better than that. They are Soooooooo slow. They always blame it
on Apple always changing the OS's but I don't buy it.

Try Enhanced Matte Posterboard or the 500 gsm version of UltraSmoth Fine
Art. Hahnemuhle also makes some rather thick "boards" that are available
through LexJet.
