Re: New Gimp Print back end for Mac 0S X and Question for Roy Harrington

If anyone is having Gimp Print problems with USB connections, you should check the Source Forge.net website. There is a new Gimp print USB back end that may fix your problems. It also allows ink level checking for Epson printers and gives a 25% speed increase. I am finding that for general printing, I am using Gimp Print over the Epson drivers more and more. Question for Roy: As I understand QuadTone RIP, the Gimp Print/Cups function is now built into your download package so that no separate installation of Gimp Print is required. If I update to the latest Gimp Print version, 4.7.7 (the last before 5.0 comes out), and install the new USB back end will I have problems or conflicts with Quadtone RIP? Best regards, David
