Epson 1280 vs 1280 silver

Other than cosmetic, are there any differences between the two 1280
printers: "usual" and "silver"?

Thank you.

Having had both, I believe the only difference in the color of the
plastic in the case.

FWIW, my "silver" 1280 is actually a very dark gray.

Isn't there a piece of plastic under the dust cover that prevents -
with the CFS being installed - the dust cover to be closed more than
80 percent? At least that's what I noticed when I installed the CFS.
But I have the 1290S, the European version of it.

Bernie: Both the beige and the silver 1280 have that piece of plastic
that keeps the dust cover from closing. I just removed the dust cover
on mine.

MIS has a new design 1280 bracket which allows the cover to be closed.
