MIS UT7 INKSET/2200

MIS UT7 INKSET/2200

2004-10-27 by danielwillner

I have recently begun printing with the UT7 inkset (using Eboni
Black) on the Epson 2200. So far, I have had good results using Paul
Roark's Slider Control settings in the printer driver (using
grayscale files) and disappointing results with the UT7 Curves
downloaded from MIS (using grayscale files converted to Adobe RGB).
I've experimented with different 'Print Space' profiles, with no good
results. Invariably, the density, highlights and shadows shift when I
print with the UT7 Curves, yielding unacceptable prints. I would,
however, like to use the greater range of tone options offered by the
curves files. What am I doing wrong?

Same problem with me.. I recently bought a 2200 and wanted to look at
options for making b+w prints.. so far I've been impressed with QTR and
UC inks and I've also looked at UT7 and QTR which is also impressive
but only has profiles for EEM paper. When I tried Epson driver with
UT7 curves from MIS my test gray scales were always messed up; pure
black through about 85% then an abrupt shift to nearly white. I'm sure
It's something I'm doing wrong but can't figure out what. I'm using
OSX, latest version.

Be sure you're following the instructions and settings at
http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/UT-2200-Readme.htm. It sounds like there may
be some other profile in there.

There was a period at the end of the url. Try this:

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
