Quad-Gui Question

Quad-Gui Question

2004-12-28 by Peter Palmieri

I have carefully set up Quad-Gui after closely reading the set-up instructions for Quad-Gui (using WINXP) but without having printing success.

I have manually loaded Premier Fine Art 325gsm paper in the Epson 4000 and the printer LED shows "Ready"(I am getting OK at manually loading heavy, thick paper as my "hit ratio is now about 50%).

"Sheet Feed" is selected from Media>Source and Matte Paper is chosen from Media>Type. However, when clicking on Print the LED in the 4000 changes to "Load Paper from P. Tray".

I wonder what I am doing wrong?

Peter,
You may not be doing anything wrong... I get the same error when I
try to roll print on the 4000, and semi-matte is only sold in rolls
(for large prints) w/ an upcoming exhibition... There seems to be an
issue comunicating/handshaking the 3 paper feed signals to the
printer. Stephen an Roy are busy fixing a lot of different problems I
suspect... Hang in there.
