Digital BW, The Print

Has anyone here used Qimage with QTR ? 

(Qimage is a powerful and cheap RIP with an incredible variety of
capabilities including multi-printing on pages) 

How do you combine QTR with Qimage?  

The awkward way would be to scan QTR prints and put those files into
Qimage....but is there a more direct way to save QTR pre-print setups
 (terminology?) for Qimage ? 

I'm starting to use Qimage to produce printed "catalog pages" or
"directories" of 2X3 thumbnails in order to share and keep track of
photos without computers. It's great for color but I'd like to move
QTR stuff into there as well.

You could use Qimage print-to-file feature and then load the output 
into QTR for printing.

Yes, I use Qimage and the Print to File feature to print to the
monitored folder in QTRgui or just to the desktop and then drag the
image to QTRgui.  It works well for single images but I haven't tried
it with with multiple pages. 

Qimage's interpolation and Smart Sharpening is second to none.

Setup QTRgui to monitor the folder where Qimage will put the print to file
output. Setup the parameters you want to use when printing.
 
Setup your page in Qimage and print to file.
 
That's all there is to it. Once Qimage has created the page image, QTR will
print it.
 
One warning: make sure the page size you setup in Qimage fits within the
printable space on a page or set QTRgui up to scale the image down enough so
it will fit.
