Re: [Digital BW] Re: New Improvements in Epson UltraChrome inkset ?

The majority of the talk about this new release is about the new 13x19 version of the Epson R800. It has been released in Japan and will come to the US in a few months, some say about April. The R800 is available today. You can look at the R800 to see what the prints will look like. My impressions of the R800 prints were that glossies looked much better, and that matte prints were about the same. Since glossies are the downfall of the 2200, I think the new printer will be on my shopping list. Steve

John- I guess they are always working on something...look at all they've done in the low end printer area lately. I would rather see them work on wider color gamut, less bronzing and surface differentials than longevity... but that's just me <g> Tom O'Connell - In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "john dean" <deanwork2003@y...> wrote: > > A client of mine just came by to pick up some prints and she told me that she just heard > that Epson is going to release an improved version of the UltraChrome inkset.
