Subject: [Digital BW] PC QTR Paper type
I use a PC with QTR 2.2.0 with a 2200 and am a bit confused egarding
the drop down list for tye under the Media heading.
The list has Plain Paper, Plain Paper Fast Load, Postcard, Glossy
Film, Transparencies, Envelopes, Back Light Film, Matte Paper,
Inkjet Paper, Photo Quality Inkjdet Paper, Photo Paper, Premium
Glolly Photo Paper, Premium Luster Photo Paper, Photo Quality Glossy
paper, Ilford Heavy Paper, ColorLife Paper and Other.
I am usually printing on Epson Enhanced Matte and that is not on the
list.
My question is this: Why does this list exist? Is it to tell teh
printer how much ink to lay down based on the absorbtion rate of the
papers listed? I know epson does this with their paper selection
under the advanced settings tab.
I get images that look wonderful using both Ilford Heavy Paper and
Matte Paper settings but I wonder why either Epson Velvet or
Enhanced Matte aren't on the list.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks,
Randy
