Ron,

This is definitely NOT a dumb discussion - it has everything to do with
what this list is all about - exchange of ideas and knowledge!

AFAIAC - it is KNOWLEDGE to know which paper works best for certain
images or with certain inks.

If this thread bothers you - all you have to do is scroll pass it!

Simple, right?

Sorry but that "idea" is far from the intelligent and
informative "exchange of ideas" that you refer to. The good news is
there is a LOT of good information and knowledge that is exchanged
here on a regular basis. A discussion of papers or printers or
films or cameras and their uses in various combinations is a far cry
from the "which one is best?" queries. As you may know, these
exchanges here are, for the most part, subjective, as well they
should be. They are well worthwhile perusing. The others, which
occupy tons of space are not that easy to "scroll past" as you
suggested.

I have no quarrel with the intent and content of what's here that is
of value to most everyone, I DO take issue with the printers, inks,
papers etc. "SHOOTOUT" that some like to occasionally interject
which have little value except to tout the "snob appeal" of various
products.

Anyway, so be it... nuff said. Let's not beat this dead horse.
