Way off Topic

Way off Topic

2005-03-12 by BKPhoto@aol.com

Group-

This is way off topic, but I'm hoping that someone on this list may have the
information I'm looking for (please contact me off list if you do).

I've been using Nikon D100's for almost two years and need to upgrade. I want
to stay with Nikon and am looking at the new Nikon D2X and the Fuji S3. Price
won't be the deciding factor. Instead, I'm interested in the opinion of
anyone who may have used these bodies and can address two concerns:

--How fast is the Raw capture/write to memory? How quickly can you move from
one Raw frame to the next? Have you had any issues with Raw with either of
these cameras?
--Autofocus under very low light?

Thanks in advance.

Check out this review of the S3 by Thom Hogan:

I'm shooting D100 and was interested in the S3 - price being a major
component...thinking I'll wait to see how the D2X fairs...

The Fuji S3 has a six meg chip, while the D2X has a twelve meg chip. From all I've been
reading the D2X is the way to go on the Nikon side for top quality and if budget is not a
concern. The S3 is no slouch for a six meg camera.

Here's a few reviews:

Bill,

I suggest www.dpreview.com for excellent and complete reviews of all
kinds of cameras.
