IPI has a chart for all kinds of archival storage.  CDs and DVDs are not
considered adeqautely stored at "room temperature."  They require "cool,"
which is generally below 40 or 50-deg. F.

As far as brands, I use Taiyo Yuden and buy them as generic.  They are the
manufacturer for the better label of the better brands.  MOST brands seem to
have more than one quality level out there but, if you don't know what part
number to look for on the package, you're guessing.

There are free programs to test the error rates on CDs and DVDs, but that
TAKES TIME away from printing.
