QTR 9600 and rotating canvas

QTR 9600 and rotating canvas

2005-04-09 by john dean

Roy? Anyone?

I'm outputting some sepia monochromes on my 9600 on the new Innova Soft
Texture today. They are looking so nice, and I am so pleased.

I have a question about what I'm doing though. While using QTR for these large
44"x44" prints the defalt setting for roll media is rotaing the cavas so that the output
is coming out sideways in the machine in relation to the monitor Photoshop
alignment. I saw where one can set up different alignments of the canvas in the
gimp sofware, but shouldn't the deflat setting be correct reading? The printer prints a
couple of lines then stops and makes a clicking sound then starts back again where
it left off. Why is it doing that?

My first print looks so good I am going ahead this way with my second and final one
today, eventhough it took hours of print time to do the first one at the recommended
1440 resolution. I'm not complaining, just interested in learing more about the
mechanism of this file rip.

QTR 9600 and rotating canvas - I'll try this post again

2005-04-18 by john dean

Roy? Anyone?

While using QTR for large 44"x44" roll prints the defalt setting for roll media is
rotaing the cavas so that the output is coming out sideways in the machine in
relation to the monitor Photoshop alignment. When I did a 24"x36" print with
the same settings it printed normally. All other small and medium sizes look
fine.

I saw where one can set up rotation alignments of the canvas in the gimp
sofware, but shouldn't the deflat setting be correct reading? I didn't change
any canvas position. The printer prints a couple of lines then stops and makes
a clicking sound then starts back again where it left off. Why is it doing that?

My prints looked fine although they took forever to print in this size. Like I said
this has only happened with 44" wide roll prints. Is it normal with this Mac
version.
