Great information, John. I know how to insert a copyright character in Word
but can't seem to figure it out in PS. Would you be kind enough to advise.

Thanks.
Barbara

A nice Waterwark should be the result.

Silly me, I should have taken an extra 30 seconds to figure it out. Of
course I can get the copyright symbol into PS with a copy/paste. Sorry for
the dumb question.

In Photoshop...

With your picture open Hit D on your Keyboard (sets Colors to Black
Foreground and White
Background)

Type your Text and size it and place it. Something like: \ufffd2005 Bob Cain

Now go to the Layers Palette and set the Fill to 0 (zero)

Go to Layers-Layer Style-Drop Shadow and set it to whatever you want.

A nice Waterwark should be the result.

You can write an action to do this.

Barbara,

Instead of copy/paste to get your copyright symbol you can do it
right in Photoshop, just hold down the Alt key and type 0169 and
that'll give you a copyright symbol in whatever font you've chosen.
If you need a "registered" symbol it's Alt 0174.

Leon

On a desktop: hold down the ALT key and ON THE NUMBER KEYPAD press
0-1-6-9.

On a laptop, hold ALT-Fn keys and pres 0-1-6-9 on the grey-marked number
keys (normally, m-j-o-9).

BTW- The copyright sign is no longer required for it to be valid. Just a
name. Year isn't required on recent stuff either.
